SSH keys, a Linux question 18 Years, 9 Months ago

Hello,
Thank's to some previous posts in this forum about SSH keys I have been able to connect to my RedHat 9 ssh server using keys.
Now I would like to disable root login with the password method. This is clearly a Linux/sshd question. I have tried to set PermitRootLogin to without-password in the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file but I can still log in using the password method.
Has anyone already tried this ?
Many thank's.

Jerome,
The without-password option *should* work. Make sure you restart the sshd server so it re-reads the config file.
