Celestial Software

It's a particularly slow day on my office network connection (a T1 line). I'm trying to do an upload (i.e., ZModem send) of a 10MB file and it's getting interrupted. I've tried adjusting the timeout on the Unix side to no avail. I enter the command ("lrz -bet 1000") select my file on my local drive, click on send, and the progress bar starts, but is eventually (anywhere from 40K to a meg or two into the transfer) interrupted, and the transfer box closes. I get a message in the term windows saying "lrz: [FILENAME] removed."

Like I said, the whole terminal session is pretty sluggish. It looks like a timeout function, but I don't see anywhere I can adjust it on the AbsoluteTelnet side. Or am I wrong?

I'm using AT 2.0 RC 42 on an HP OmniBook 900 running Windows 98.

And you can usually transfer large files to this host without any problems under normal conditions?

Definitely, yes! I'd like to try the same file again today, as the network's a LOT faster, but I'm waiting on that new beta of yours... *nudge nudge* ;-)

In your testing, please try to note if there is a long pause in the progress bar that preceeds the cancellation. Also, try running the server in verbose mode (-v) while redirecting stdout to a file. This may give you a clue why the timeout occurs. (remember, the more -v args you give, the more verbose the output)

Well, of course I'm not able to replicate this, possibly because the network wasn't nearly as slow?
