Strange Characters on Screen Print 18 Years, 5 Months ago

Hi there.
Im testing Absolute and its a great bit of kit :D
Im having trouble doing screen print though. It works fine, however I seem to be getting spew instead of ----- at the start of our printouts
For example, here is a screen print i configured to print to file:
E(s0p20h8.5v0s0b6T&k6H&l7.0136C&a15L&l1H&k2G--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---
Misc Info In here
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It should just be two lines of ---------
I have Absolute using VT220
All other text is fine bar the initial speel.
Any suggestions?

Chris,
You're in luck! I think I know exactly what the issue is. In Options->Properties->VT Options in the 'passthru printing' section, there is an option called 'direct to printer' that needs to be enabled.
What you're seeing is that the escape sequences are being printed as garbage characters instead of being passed directly to the printer for translation. The escape sequences you posted are printer control sequences that must be passed as data to the printer instead of interpreted by the terminal.
Enable the 'direct to printer' option and try again.
