I am trying to use the comm connection to configure several Nortel 5510 switches, and they need the "ctrl-y" key combination to open up the switch config menu, my recently downloaded 6.12 Absolute Telnet doesn't let me do that. I see the post information on the screen from the switch and Hyperterminal lets me do the "ctrl-y". I have fiddled with the Absolute config with no luck. When I use Absolute Telnet to communicate to a Nortel switch via telnet, "ctrl-y" works.
