Using Absolute telnet 3.5 with XP. I cannot seem to select my modem when configuring dialup connections. I click on 'configure line' but nothing happens. Other apps, like DUN and Hyperterm can use the modem just fine. Of course, I close these apps before I try to use Absolute telnet. Any suggestions?

(Not that this may help you with the particular problem, but maybe guide Brian's troubleshooting...)
Working fine in 3.61 with XP SP2 and a Conexant D480 built-in modem on my Dell D600 - I get all the options an a dialogue. However I have a lot of bogus options in the popup-menu:
* Conexant D480 MDC V.90 Modem
* Line unavailable
* Line unavailable <- Yes, twice
* WAN miniport L2TP
* Infrared Direct Lin <- Yes, truncated
* LPT
* IPCONF LINE
* H232 Line
All options except the "real" modem don't give me anything when I click "Configure Line..." button.
Take care,
/msa

Mattias is right. This was fixed after 3.50. I've been verifying the results of the new version and they look good. You can give it a try:
<old link removed. Go to downloads for the latest version>
There *are* still the bogus connection items Mattias mentioned. I haven't learned yet how to separate them from the *real* modems. In any case, it works....
Brian
Did the new version work for you?
Brian
I confirm that 3.63 does not display the bogus connections on my system. I only see the modem now.
Sincerely,
/msa
