Printer Reverts to System Default

We've got a good number of users that use only one particular printer about 80% of the time. When it's time to use a different printer, they have to keep selecting it for every print job.

Is there any option like "Print Setup..." that will allow the user to set their own default for Absolute?

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I searched under "print" and "printing" and nothing pertinent came up.

Thanks!

Fuzzy,

What you are describing is the *old* behavior of AbsoluteTelnet (versions prior to 3.66) As of 3.66, the behaviour is this:

1. After you open AbsoluteTelnet, the first time you print, you will be prompted to choose a printer and the Windows default printer will be selected as the selected printer in the print dialog

2. Each time you print after that, you'll still get the print dialog, but your previous choice of printer will override the Windows default. So, if you want to print to the same printer as last time, you just have to hit enter.

3. If you shut down AbsoluteTelnet and start it up again, you will again be prompted with the Windows default printer.

Is that better?

Brian, you're awesome! Great product, so we'll be upgrading.

Now I've got a few more questions unrelated to printing but I don't want to waste anyone's time. Is there a current list of fixes/enhancements that I could look through?

(In the mean time I'll download the with the latest version.)

Thanks!

You can see the update list here: https://www.celestialsoftware.net/version-history/ However, this list has only been updated up to version 3.63. If you have other questions, just ask!! Brian
