Hi,
Ive been using absolute telnet since version 3 or 4 and obviously I really like it a lot. I spend my days using it constantly working on servers. One thing that I do a lot of is searching through http access and error logs. I upgraded to the new version a few days ago. I am sure for some the new "URL highlighting and hot-linking" is great. I am an older guy and my eyes don't work as well as they once did. The highlighting is hard on my eyes and is distracting big time. I checked properties and help but cannot find anything controlling it. How can I turn "URL highlighting and hot-linking" off?
This is me after two hours of looking at hot linked urls in server logs -> :woohoo:
Thanks,
Vincent
Sorry,
There is currently not a way to turn off the URL highlighting. However, I'll consider putting this in the next version.

I would certainly appreciate this too.
Thanks
Lee
I would also like to be able to turn this option off. For me it's not useful, and even a bit dangerous (for example apache logfiles can contain dangerous links that you definitely don't want to open).

Hello Brian,
Do you have any update about this? I still think it is a very anoying feature, it should not be too difficult to make this configurable?
Thank you,
Martin
I worked on this last night and I have an updated version that includes a switch to turn off the URL highlighting. It is just in BETA for now, but you can try it here:
The option is in Options->Properties->Appearance. Brian
