Hi
Hi - I have been using Absolute Telnet since v1.8 and currently use v7.21.
I don't really see a need to upgrade to 8.x but am finding it hard to see a side-by-side comparison of the versions. Some of the items in the version history for 7.21 are repeated in that of 8.14.
Does that mean further functionality is available or each page is just a summary of key functionality of each version regardless of when originally introduced - i.e. not incremental?
Would it be fair to say that the 8.x versions are only of use if I need to use the scripting API?
Thanks
Lee
Scripting and ActiveX would be the main new features in version 8. The rest are fairly minor features, bug-fixes and compatibility enhancements that you might not even know were there unless you needed them.
Of course, the choice is always up to you whether you'd like to upgrade. If you don't want to now, just wait until the next version comes out and see if there is anything in there that you want! Remember, though, that all purchases come with another year of free upgrades!

Hi Brian
Thank you for getting back. That clarifies things for me.
