I would like to request some changes to the dockable tabs interface.
1) At the moment it seems that if I close the main window (usually by hitting the [x] by mistake instead of minimizing) it will immediately kill ALL undocked tabs regardless of their respective connection state. At the very least it should warn you and ask you to confirm this action as it is generally undesirable to simply drop connection rather than logging out and disconnecting gracefully. If any operation was running in one of those undocked tabs it can also result in lost work and other more undesirable consequences, like zombied jobs etc.
2) It would be very useful to have the option when saving a connection file to specify whether you wanted it to initially appear docked or undocked (my preferred choice!) . I regularlyy need to refer to information across multiple undocked tabs and so it would be more convenient to be able to simply have the tabs undock themselves by default.
3) Once a tab is undocked the File --> New Window/Tab options are available but do not work. Selecting new tab or window in this context should get you a new tab or window (also undocked) based on the same connection file of the current undocked tab.
Thanks for a great product and keep the new features coming! 😉
I'd like to also see the following tab options.
1. Close a tab directly with a X graphic on the tab.
2. Right click tab - close other tabs option.
You could model this after IE and Firefox tabs which have this feature
Thank you,
Rob
