Hi,

Just downloaded and installed your eval and got it up and running without any issues. Thanks!

Got a couple of quick questions:

1. Can you map the ALT key as the "Meta key" in emacs?

2. Can you configure it to allow true manual logging in opposed to having Absolute do it? This would be with SSH1/2 and there may be security issues surrounding such a login.

I just don't like putting any data like that in programs although it won't kill me... 🙂

Thanks again,

Koll

I'm working on some emacs compatibility issues in the new beta. Would you be interested in testing???

Can you tell me what you mean by a "true manual login" as it relates to SSH1/SSH2??? With SSH, login and authentication is an essential part of the protocol and the session cannot begin until that is accomplished. It's not like telnet where the login/password prompts are just another part of the interactive session.

The Emacs meta key mapping is now available in the new beta of AbsoluteTelnet 1.85. You can download it here:

The options is under Options->Properties->VT Options.

Any feedback on this functionality would be greatly appreciated!!!
