I just upgraded to the latest version then logged
into our firewall to make a few changes, but noticed
that when I tried to paste an IP address into the find screen it didn't respond to a right click, I have been using absolute for years and it is absolutely awesome, forgive the pun, but is this a bug or intentional ?

Thanks Brian for all your work on this program !!!

I'd categorize it as more of an unfortunate side-effect rather than a bug. You CAN still paste into the field. You just have to use ctrl-v (or shift-ins) to do it.

The issue is that many of the text entry fields within AbsoluteTelnet were changed from regular old text entry fields to RichEdit fields to allow uniform entry of Unicode data across all versions of Windows. For some stupid reason, the RichEdit control does not provide any context menu when you right-click within the field.

I might try and add this manually in a future version, but for now, use the keyboard shortcuts.

Good Catch!

Richard, I've added the context menu into the richedit edit boxes. The one on the find dialog is not the only one. There are a number of them in the property sheets as well. If you get a chance, take a look:
