When starting a new connection it would be wonderful to have a keyboard shortcut for setting the connection type; telnet, serial, ssh1 and ssh2, this way I won't have to use the mouse at all when connecting.
Not hight priority stuff (Terminal Reset is clearly a higher priority request).

Why not keep a few pre-configured connection files on your desktop? Then you won't have to set the connection specific settings each time you connect!
