Help using Connect "Timeout" in script? 12 Years, 12 Months ago

I would like to have the script verify that the serial port is open, and not continue until it is ready.
I'm not sure what is returned during the ( Connect "timeout" ) nor how to implement it in a script.
Connect "timeout" - Used to initiate the connection to the host. If the connection cannot be accomplished within "timeout" milliseconds, the function will fail. Returns a boolean to describe whether the connection was completed or failed.
Can anybody help me with this?
Best,
-BG

Sorry,
There's not currently a way to do this via scripting.
