TOPIC: Feature Request -> Connection Manager Tab
#253
Feature Request -> Connection Manager Tab 15 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi Brian,

I have been using AbsoluteTelnet for a little while now and just upgraded my license to 6.28. Always preferred using AT over many others.

I would like to request a feature whereby (possibly) a tab is used as a Connection Manager. ie instead of creating a new connection file, then going to Options -> Properties to configure, the Connection Manager Tab will have all this embedded to make changes. Then as a separate frame, there is a list of all the current connection files and by double-clicking will automatically open up a new tab with the connection. I hope you can picture what I'm trying to suggest.
Currently I have a number of connection files, but either have to go to File -> Open or open it directly via explorer. When managing and administrating a number of ssh sessions, it would just make it smoother.

I'm not sure how much work is involved as I do not write code and would appreciate your response on whether firstly if it's possible and secondly if you would consider this type of addition.

thanks,
bashir.

I don't see any response to this suggestion but I'd like to second the suggestion. I'm currently evaluating AT to replace Procomm Plus and like it so far but I di miss the connection directory from Procomm. I would think it wouldn't be too involved to provide a connection directory window. The connection info can still be stored in tnt files but access would be throuigh a connection directory GUI.

I'll add my vote for such a feature. have about a dozen connections configured and it would be nice to have an easier way to maintain/access them.

Thanks,
Bob
