Accent on French Keyboard 19 Years, 6 Months ago

Hi
I did the mapping of letters with accent
like é è à
When I login to my linux workstation using ssh2
the first time I press on such a key
nothing happens, but if I press again
the correct character appears twice !
Thank you in advance for helping me to resolve this problem.
Suggestion: I like the select="copy" feature
but why not including the second common useful feature that a right click is "paste"
instead of "end of selection" ?
Maybe that would be nice to add this option
in a future version.
nice work anyway !

Exactly how did you do this mapping? Are you using AbsoluteTelnet's keyboard mapping features?
I can type accented characters by using the us-internation keyboard setting in Windows XP. By typing the accent first, then the character, I get a combined accented character.
For example, typing a back-tick: "`" followed by an 'a' gives me à
Similarly, typing a single quote: "'" followed by an 'a' gives me á
A little more info about exactly what you're trying to do will help me understand your situation.
