How to open a linux account by using Absolute Telnet fro 18 Years, 9 Months ago
I tried Absolute Telnet, it's the best
telnet/ssh client I have used so far.

How to open a linux account by using Absolute Telnet from DOS?
For example, if I want to open a linux account
by using Putty from DOS command line
"putty -pw password username@hostname:/home"
Putty will open up and directly login to that linux account and directory.
Does Absolute Telnet have this kind of DOS command line operation(I couldn't find it from Help)?

Sorry, not much of a command line interface yet.

Thanks.
I know how to use command line in Absolute Telnet now.
Login a linux account in Absolute Telnet.
Save it as a name, such as 10.10.1.1.tnt.
In the dos, type "10.10.1.1.tnt"
It will directly login to the account by using Absolute Telnet.

Using command line is for automation test purpose. So that automation tool can directly open an account without going through GUI operation steps.
So by this way, Absolute Telnet command line can't see password comparing to Putty.
It's more secure than Putty, hehe.
Maybe you can add this to help file later on.

True, you can put all of the info in the .tnt file and then start *that* from DOS. This requires you to set things up ahead of time, but is perhaps worth the additional security of not making the password visible.

Thanks for the tip!!

Let me know if you have any other questions.
