'Cooked' log 17 Years, 8 Months ago

The help doesn't have any info on the Global Option, "Open Log in 'Cooked' mode" -- what does this setting do?

It had a purpose once, but I don't think it even works any more. The original purpose was to strip escape sequences from the log data and log text only. I probably need to take that out of the global options.

Removing the option would not present a problem for me. I would prefer to capture all data in a log file, including the escape/control sequences.

Right. That was the original idea behind the log. Someone at some point asked for an option to remove the escapes, but after I began implementation, it made less and less sense to do it. Apparently, I didn't remove all of the code.
